W/C 26th January 2026: A planning application for the proposed development has NOW been submitted, but is not showing online. Be vigilant, look out for applications on lampposts, report back to the group, check our Facebook group regularly and check here on the website. We will keep you all up to date as much as we can. Objections can only be made once a planning application has been published. When this happens, we will let everyone know and make sure anyone who wants to object has all the information and help they need to do so.
What we have done so far
Several residents are helping to gather information about any potential impact on the environment (including the ancient woodland next to the field) and infrastructure of the village (traffic, water, sewerage system etc.) to make sure we have all the evidence we need to object effectively.
The Group now has a Community bank account where we can receive donations and which will be used to manage funds pledged at the community meeting. These funds will be used to cover campaign costs and pay for the completion of an ecology assessment which is crucial to the success of our campaign.
Local councillors and our MP have been made aware of the proposed development and have been informed that we have set up the Cumberworth Environmental Community Action Group.
